Barholm British Blues
British Blue Cattle
Situated in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway, on the Solway Coast Barholm Mains Farm sits on the outskirts of the village of Creetown. With the Galloway Hills on one side of the farm and our land stretching down to the Solway Bay on the other, we are blessed with stunning scenery and views.
Well situated on the A75 Gretna to Stranraer road we are 7 miles from Newton Stewart, 30 miles from Stranraer, 42 miles from Dumfries, 79 miles from Carlisle, and 55 miles from Ayr.
Barholm Mains is a beef and sheep unit. Until 2009 we showed Commercial Cattle at local and National Shows. In 2009 we purchased our first British Blues, with our main females obtained from the Norbreck and Tweeddale herds.
